The cone wasn’t taking us anywhere so we got permission to get rid of it. Now I have to work on avoiding Kyle sitting.
Not a fan of bully sticks so trying this cod skin sticks to help clean Kyle’s teeth. He didn’t want to let it go 😅.
This was our only qualifying run of the weekend: Speedstakes! It’s probably my favorite class. UKI is fun!
I really like this phrase from the book Agility Right from the Start. Kyle and I started trialing before we even had a formal dog walk trained, with no criteria. That resulted in a enthusiastic Kyle missing the contact zones quite often. We went back and trained the dog walk from the start.
Video of our UKI home trial. This one was hard and I was running out of energy but we got it!!! Our threadle class with @grittyagility is paying off!
To my untrained eye, this looks to me like an example of the SAID principle (specific adaptations to imposed demands). Top pic shows Kyle doing the plank exercise. Bottom pic is him just taking off from a start line release. #caninefitness #canineconditioning #caninefitnessmonthsss #dogfitness
